Mileking MK625 All-Weather — one set, all four Alberta seasons

The MK625 is the tire for people who are tired of swapping twice a year. It is a true all-weather tire, not an all-season: the compound stays flexible when the temperature drops instead of going hard like a summer tire, and the siping pattern bites in slush and packed snow.

That means one set on the truck year-round, one set of rims, no seasonal storage and no changeover appointments. Through summer it wears evenly on the highway and stays quiet. Through a Grande Prairie January it does what a winter tire does for the vast majority of driving most people actually do.

This is our largest single tire line and the one we push hardest into the October changeover season. Eighteen sizes on the floor in Edmonton, installed and balanced in-house.

Questions we get asked

How do I know what size I need?
Read it off the sidewall of the tire on your vehicle right now — it looks like 225/65R17. Match that exactly. If you are changing sizes, talk to us first; the wrong diameter throws out your speedometer.

Do you install and balance?
Yes, in-house at our Edmonton shop, including TPMS service. Tires bought here are mounted, balanced and torqued by us — book it when you order.

What does the number and letter after the size mean?
That is the load index and speed rating, for example 97W. The number is how much weight one tire can carry; the letter is its rated top speed. Both are listed on every tire page. If you tow, the load number is the one that matters.

Is a cheaper import tire safe?
Every tire we sell meets Canadian road-legal standards. The difference against a premium brand shows up in tread life and wet braking at the limit, not in basic safety.

Is all-weather the same as all-season?
No, and the difference matters here. An all-season tire hardens in the cold and is really a three-season tire in Alberta. An all-weather tire is built to stay pliable below freezing and is rated for winter use.
